NYC No. 2 Lay-Offs post by Suzannah B. Troy
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/americas-layoff-capitals/story?id=10639186 You would think king mayor Mike Bloomberg would have fought to keep St. Vincent's open so the West Village had a hospital and although St. Vincent's did not know how to run a business they never turned away a person which is rare these days and there were one of the closer hospitals that was a resource during Sept. 11 although sadly there were many survivors they did treat rescue workers like firefighters who would than run back downtown. You would think Mike Bloomberg would have fought to save this hospital for the above reason but also to save jobs and keep people employed. More and more it seems Bloomberg won or stole a third term to help his greedy community crushing developer friends and fiance buddies to obtain their greedy, ruthless goals at the expense of New Yorker in way to many ways to count including pushing a reckless tsunami of development as stupid and greedy as what caused Wall Street to implode. Mike's new hideous New York built with the aid of socialite mega-millionaire city planner Amanda the people's Burden on old NY's infrastructure is collapsing and besides the infrastructure break and related problems that resemble terror attacks from steam pipe explosions to man hole covers the subways are backed to the brim with dilapidated subways stations that literally cannot accommodate the population. The stair in the subway are so crowded that the flow of people can only go one way and people wanting to get down stairs have to wait until the sea of people exit. Trains that are not expresses suddenly become so leaving rows of crowded people fuming but who cares as long as Mike could push a reckless tsunami of development that continues to blot out the sun...so much for Mike's idea for solar panels when he aids developers like NYU and Cooper Union to bust through our zoning and using their not for profit status as a tax shelter, Columbia University to displace an entire neighborhood called Manhattanville abusing eminent domain and so many condo and hotel developers some with bad tract records that if they were drug dealers they would be behind bars but when it comes to developers, contractors and landlords a bad track record means nothing except business as usual. The New York Times said something about returning to a recession. We never left but are heading towards a depression and Mike Bloomberg doesn't appear to care. He just wanted to get in for a third

Grateful Dead The NY Historical Society - Suzannah B. Troy
The NY Historical Society is being renovated so only one small section is actually open and it is filled with Grateful Dead treasures! This collection of powerful photos and memorabilia are on loan from The Grateful Dead Archive on loan from the University of Santa Cruz.
The first blown up image you see is of The Filmore East on the Lower East Side and there are powerful photos of the Filmore with mobs of people lined up to see the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. I remember reading Janis would go to Ratner's after and Ratner's moved yet again and than finally closed as so much has these days.
There is of course poster art and all kinds of collectibles and Grateful Dead music plays through out this small exhibition. I do want to warn you the price to get in is 12 dollars I think. You may want to double check me on that and the gift shop is filled to the brim with Grateful Dead items. I bought an amazing pair of GD earrings!
“I am incredibly happy that the kind archivists at UC Santa Cruz understand the social value of our priceless archive and its hallowed meaning to our most beloved 'Dead Heads.' Without the care it is now receiving these treasures would be lost. Please join me in preserving the legacy so we can all continue to explore and experience what the "Grateful Dead" means to us.” - Bill Kreutzmann
You can contribute your thoughts http://deadcentral.blogspot.com/ Note: For Suzannah B. Troy fans, my jacket with patches and pin from Rescue Workers and fellow volunteers was on display at The New York Historical Society and is now downtown in the Sept. 11 Museum collection.
AIDS Walk 2010 -- Suzannah B. Troy
I can't tell you for sure how many people turned out but it was massive. I read some where an estimated 45,000 people might show up and it sure looked and sounded like it. Truly inspiring and a great fund raiser sponsored by the Gay Mens' Health Crisis.
Pink Cosmo Interview + Sex Tips - Suzannah B. Troy
Pink fans will eat up June 2010’s Cosmopolitan with Pink on the cover and in depth interview by Alison Prato. What did I get from this article? Pink is happy and back with her husband Carey. She did date an amazing guy that she was really simpatico with while separated from her husband who happened to be a musician as well as romantic but not Carey!
I am a big Janis Joplin and no offense Pink but Janis Joplin is in a category all her own but Tina Turner gave her a poster with Tina and Joplin and wrote, “To Alecia the second coming.”
Side note for Janis Joplin fans...Kims’ Video store on St. Marks Place in the East Village, NYC is now closed but for one dollar you could rent a video of Janis Joplin flying back to Texas to attend her high school reunion. She is dressed in fully Janis regalia with the big boa and sun glasses and in the most charming of ways she rubs her success in her old high school buddies noses. Hint: They were not very nice to her.
Buy the Cosmo to get all the Pink details and enjoy the photos by Matt Jones. I do have two Pink songs on my IPhone, “Glitter in the Air” and “So What”. I relate to Pink’s all or nothing attitude but not her smoking cigarette attitude which she needs to get a grip on. (Read the article in Cosmo.)
Her performance at the Grammy’s of Glitter in the Air was outstanding and she starts out very slow...(reminds of my short story “Chopping the Street: one mega-million at a time” -- maybe I should get Pink to star in the short story if it ever makes it to the big screen.) Pink walks out into the very jaded audience and start’s singing and ends up in an almost naked outfit suspended high above the air dancing in a Cirque de Soliel like performance. This is old news but so outstanding I will include the video link.
Also fun in this issue of Cosmo are 75 sex tips from guys and how not to push your man away. They talk about Johnny Depp and his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis experiencing just a little bit of friction over a love scene with Angelina Jolie in Johnny in their upcoming film, “The Tourist”.

66 Wooster Closes August - Suzannah B. Troy
I went to see Reconstruction with my friend David and I did not love it but I liked parts of it and respected it was the writer’s way to say good bye to 66 Wooster Street which like almost everything and everybody under the Bloomberg administration has been displaced unless you are a real estate magnate...well almost....
The theatre was open to the street so I walked up to the actors and told them I was Donald Trump and to get out because I have a big crane on the way. They told me after I saw the play I would change my ways. Of course the real Donald wouldn’t be discouraged from displacing anyone and blotting out the skyline....
The cast were so energized and downright fun. We helped build the set, well just a little and practiced lines although I rewrote mine. Audience members were called on to the stage to read lines...I guess because of budget cuts, lack funding or just to be fun. I gather the playwright wants to make sure the audience is breathing. I have video footage of this lively performance that had major flaws despite the wonderfully multi-talented, bi-lingual cast. It was fun to watch people walking by and stop and watch part of the play from the street.
This cast was the largest group of happy people despite this being about the mortgage meltdown and also the closing of yet another artistic space.
Welcome to Mike Bloomberg’s hideous NY...
Threat to Terrorism Preparedness post by Suzannah B. Troy and Louis Flores
I spoke with a a long term community member about why he loved St. Vincent’s.
He said because they would not turn away anyone. Sitting in the emergency room was like sitting in the subway. You had rich and poor all together. If someone was dying and they were a bad person, a really bad character, the nun’s would sit and hold his hand so he did not die alone.
He just felt they mismanaged the business end of the hospital badly.
I have been posting YouTubes filmed by an activist about the on going meetings involving St. Vincent’s and also now the communities hope to locate a hospital in St. Vincent’s place.
I have to praise Yetta Kurland who her on going role trying to save St. Vincent’s and helping the community to find a solution that would bring a hospital in it’s place.
Oliver Stone Wall Street 2 Oscars - Suzannah B. Troy
Okay, I want to be the first to say "Oscars"! There I said it.
Wall Street 2 will be nominated for plenty of golden statues but will Oliver Stone clean up? I am not selling him "short" or anything but will this film be on the level of Platoon and Wall Street? I answer all these questions in my YouTube where I share just a few memories of working on the film Wall Street. I had the lowest non-union job possible after I got, ehem, promoted, yes, that's right; I was promoted from one of the only women parking production assistants to craft services. Not really promotion by the way and I had to feed a big crew and lots of extras. I share my first conversation with Oliver Stone which was unforgettable, hilarious and proof I can give as good as I get if not better. Oliver returned to NYC to film part 2 and I past the set and inquired after him. They told me he was huddled in a hotel with bodyguards. Yikes! The controversial movie director has his fans and also his haters.
I am not a fan of his politics but Platoon was deeply moving and I saw it on my day off while working on Wall Street (1). At one point we were working 6 days a week because as I recall they were afraid there was going to be a writer's strike or something. I tell you about Charlie Sheen and a very sad memory for me now looking back having to run to the World Trade Center to pick up something for Charlie and I did not want to go on the errand. It is really heart breaking for me to look back now and talk about that the WTC which by the way was a symbol for "World Trade" whether you are pro or con but it is now an open wound still not near healing or near completion. Sept. 11 was mass murder and mass destruction so it gives one perspective so let us switch to happy Hollywood thoughts french style.... Bravo for all the fanfare at Cannes Film Festival with uber glamour and the exciting opening of Wall Street 2. I can't get any reports on whether the film was well received or not. I have a unique take on the film and whether it will do well that may or may not surprise you and I hit on the news two days ago when President Obama was snubbed here in NYC at a mega-bucks fund democratic fund raiser by Wall Street including Goldman Sachs. Hear why I think this and other factors will effect Wall Street 2 at the box office. Watch my YouTube!

Bernard Stollman interviewed by Jaee Logan -- Suzannah B. Troy
I helped Jaee Logan to find his Dad, Giuseppi Logan through my twenty-one part YouTube documentary series on the legendary jazz musician. When we spoke I told Jaee you need to make a documentary, a Hollywood film and I even see him writing a book. He flew in from CA to start filming with his friend and fellow musician Bobby who did the filming here. Here is an amazing interview with Bernard Stollman. I feel like Jaee took over where I couldn't really go. My YouTubes tend to be in the park where I first filmed Giuseppi Logan and started changing lives through the miracle of YouTube posting.
If you go to this YouTube link you can find more of the series filmed by Jaee Logan and his friend Bobby. This clip ends with asking Bernard Stollman about the East Village and about Malcom X who Jaee shares a birthday with. Giuseppi Logan's birthday is also coming up.
I will be bringing postings of all the YouTube series on Jaee Logan being reunited with his Dad after 40 years. What is really exciting is this interview with Bernard Stollman and what he has to say about how he came to found ESP record labels and find musical talent. Also why Bernard Stollman felt compelled to document artists.
As an artist I can' express how important that is. Stay tuned...I will be bringing you a series of YouTubes and writing by Dan Orth and for jazz lovers you will not be disappointed!!!!!
Christine Quinn gets backing? post Donny Moss and Suzannah B. Troy
Dear friends -- gay and straight:
This is frightening.
The Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, a nationwide group that helps elect gay candidates to public office, is already campaigning for Christine Quinn for Mayor of NYC in 2013 (see below). In the months leading up to the election, the Victory Fund will assuredly rally gay people around the country to support her campaign. The fact that Quinn has betrayed the gay community time and again when it suits her politically; has one of the worst human rights voting records at City Hall; and has been exposed for budget and campaign corruption on multiple occasions does not appear to be of interest to the Victory Fund.
This support of the VIctory Fund, coupled with the fact that Quinn already has a staff of people campaigning for her (compliments of NYC taxpayers), means that we now have to resume our efforts to educate the public about why she should be voted out of office.
Soon, we will hit the streets again, protesting at her speaking engagements and educating the public (as in the pictures below). During the last election, this campaign was quite effective, we think. As you may recall, Quinn was supposed to be re-elected to her City Council seat by a landslide (in her gay district), but she barely won a majority. After the election, Crain's reported that, "Insiders have largely written off Council Speaker Christine Quinn (for 2013 Mayor), who was damaged by the council's slush fund scandal and extension of term limits, and struggled to win re-election." But we can't rest of our laurels...
Until our street campaign starts up again, please use any opportunity to educate your friends, co-workers and strangers about why Quinn must go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXoANkQh93I
And please pass this email along to people who might want to join us.
Thanks.
Donny Moss
Also folks please watch my YouTube series of NYU and The Villager in what appears to be corrupt dealings with the community on behalf of Christine Quinn who they both wanted in office. The Villager does some feel good stories but they endorsed Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn? Does anyone know how John Sutter has so much money he can have so many newspapers that he gives away free and please don't tell me advertising.
Also note The Villager's sister paper Chelsea Now removed a link with me speaking at a City Council Task force meeting on DOB and guess who did not show up? Christine Quinn. The newspaper made it go away before the very close election where both Quinn and Bloomberg barely won. If Derr had backed out Yetta Kurland would mostly like be representing the district instead of Christine Quinn.
Gee whiz -- how did this article on City Council task force meeting on DOB vanish before the election in John Sutter's newspaper Chelsea Now? http://www.chelseanow.com/cn_12/builtupcomplaintssome.html
NYU evil empire Avatar comes to mind - Suzannah B. Troy
Please watch my film review of Avatar because I compare the evil greedy people in the movie to developers that would crush our communities and displace the people of this great city and I mention NYU and Columbia University as well as other. NYU mega dormed the East Village to death and led the way for Cooper Union, The New School, NY Law, SVA and other to confuse the Lower East Side with dorm fodder. They do not even need to abuse eminent domain to get the job done. Please walk by 120 East 12th Street to witness NYU's evil dirty work tearing down St. Ann's that survived everything from 1847 all these years except NYU's greed. NYU pretends they are green but every which way they can bust through zoning and block the sun light with high buildings and rip down our historic buildings NYU will do it even participating in an illegal air sale with the USPS over St. Ann's and to date the USPS have never notified the State of NY as legally required when selling air space over St. Ann's. USPS need the money desperately since the USPS is losing mega-billions and NYU needed to ruthlessly tear down yet another historic building and bust thru zoning. Both NYU and the USPS were confident they were above the law and not behold to the community.
Read the article in Crain's about NYU, the Purple Reign of Terror where ever NYU wants to buy up, rent or take-over a neighborhood which includes tearing down historic buildings including Edgar Alan Poe House, St. Ann's, The Province Town Playhouse and there are historical artifacts of more beautiful buildings NYU tore down on the side of Bobst Library to remind us that once the Village had beautiful architecture and NYU clearly has no architecture school or sense of beauty as well as respect for the community and history.
NYU has said they were here first. Actually the American Indians were here and treated far worse than the locals now but it is paid and people are being displaced. My maternal Grandfather was born in a tenement house on the lower East Side in 1904. NYU says they have to expand and they act like real estate property is cocaine and like the greedy corporate demon in Avatar we the people are an inconvenient presence.
For those who don't know Columbia University is abusing eminent domain to move an entire neighborhood called Manhattanville out. NYU and Cooper Union do not even have to abuse eminent domain to bust through zoning and push our community out in favor of soulless banks and chain stores that cater to college kids.
NYU's president John Sexton is paid almost $2million dollars a year and that is really to be a real estate magnate. He and the president of Columbia University are in a fierce competition to see who can buy up as much property, expand as rapidly as possible, push out the communities and use real estate to lure talent like it was cotton candy at Circus.
I even heard an NYU staff member bragging he was given a 100 percent mortgage so yes NYU treats real estate like cocaine the people like the Avatars except they ending is a happy one.

Christine Quinn Goldman Sachs Sullivan Cromwell - Suzannah B. Troy
What do Goldman Sachs and Christine Quinn -- City Council have in common? Sullivan & Cromwell and the need for high priced New York lawyers that specialize in White Collar crime. I include the link for my new YouTube for articles on this and related issues.
What do Goldman Sachs and Christine Quinn -- City Council have in common? Sullivan and Cromwell and high priced lawyers that specialize in white collar crime. The fact Christine Quinn went out and hired Sullivan and Cromwell along with other top dog lawyers that specialize in white collar crime is old news and we would all love to know what is the actually cost to tax payers as of today, this very moment? I have asked The New York Post and The New York Daily News to run a ticker tape of the costs to tax payers by City Council and hey throw in Albany but for now Bill DeBlasio is trying to get City Council to be transparent and post spending on the city government website. For now it has not happened and my new YouTube that is a must see on corruption, NYC politics, Wall Street, Mike Bloomberg, Steve Rattner and the fact that little old city council at Christine Quinn’s lead have hired the very same law firm, Sullivan Cromwell as Goldman Sachs one of the most powerful financial brokers and wheelers and dealers but at the tax payers expense. I want Christine Quinn to list each city council and staff member and the price to date of how much their high priced white collar crime defense attorneys cost. Christine Quinn is hugely despised here in NYC for flushing democracy down the toilet aiding and abetting Mike Bloomberg who was urged on by Steve Rattner as mentioned in the awful puff piece book by Joyce Purnick to run or you could use the term steal a third term. Now meetings are in play to discuss a referendum so the voters can vote on if we want city politicians to have a third term since Mike Bloomberg and gang cunningly worked out away to deny us a referendum. This will forever taint Mike Bloomberg’s legacy and their is more to come.
In the mean time Mike Bloomberg wants to do away with public advocate yet again. Stay tuned. FYI: Last night President Obama was snubbed by top Wall Street firms at a high priced fund raiser where some pay as much as $50,000 to attend and among the missing was Goldman Sachs which shows you have powerful the Wall Street firms are and how much they don’t want any rules or limits set in play. Wall Street has a script of how brilliant and generous they are to us mere mortals and they don’t want to be forced off script. Wall Street wants to rule from The White House to Wall Street.

Avatar NYC the good bad the ugly - Suzannah B. Troy
There is so much to tell you and I felt the love and beauty of such a diverse group of New Yorkers from poverty level to rich, the super spiritual, from black to Asian to the pink haired.
Before I get to the happy thoughts I wanted to take a moment to remember those that died from violence here in NYC and they were mostly females from babies to grandmothers .... Has Nyasia Pryear's murderer been caught yet? She was murdered the night before President Obama's inauguration. Instead of her family celebrating, they grieved.
By the way I wrote President Obama asking him to help us because the East Village has been mega-dormed to death and they use the term "community facility" to bust through zoning and they exclude the community. Here is my YouTube with my letter to the President asking for his help to get us community outreach resource center in every one of those buildings that are called "community facilities" but exclude the community and actually help to displace the community and small businesses. I also asked the mayor on the John Gambling Show Hear me confront Mayor Bloomberg on the John Gambling show about the tsunami of community crushing development and the need for community outreach resource centers. pick the top option for "archived link" which gives you the stream with out down load move the cursor to 29 minutes (almost the end!!!) OCTOBER 19, 2007 . If these community outreach resource centers were in every mega dorm, the college kids would be forced to recognize the people are struggling and get involved in helping the community rather than being involved in the push out. Let us face it, John Sexton, the president of the evil empire aka NYU, the purple reign of terror needs to find another job preferably in Nantucket where I think he lives and I am still wondering if he can even vote in NYC considering he rushed down to testify we needed king Mike, the developer's mayor or is he like so many rich people here that can't vote because they refuse to declare NYC their home for tax reasons. They call Florida, Vermont, Virgin Islands, Conn., anywhere but here their real home but rush to say we need Mike Bloomberg for a third term. Watch my YouTube review on Avatar for more on NYU, Cooper Union, Columbia University and any U. with a mega dorm in the East Village including The New School, NY Law, SVA so get insight on how the people feel.
NYU mega dormed the East Village to death and has helped every university possible to follow NYU's community crushing lead confusing the East Village, Bowrey, Lower East Side Bowery with dorm fodder. Click here to read the latest and it is from Crain's about 3 Universities banding together to occupy a big dorm on the Lower East Side on Delancey Street not far from where my Grandfather was born in 1904. The only thing worse than the mega dorms is The Red Square with Lenin on the roof (Mike Red Square Rosen's rich man's toy) looks like a pro-type of the mega dorms with balconies. Please remember that developer Mike Red Square Rosen demands you call him a community activist! Actually NY Law mega dorm on 3rd Street has balconies just like the Red Square and when the Hell's Angels were raided the college kids stood out on their balconies in their pajamas watching the NYPD in action as well with Ron Kuby giving a stunning performance in a lawyer working the media very effectively. I can't tell you who won the Oscar this year but best actor but Kuby's performance was unforgettable. The tax payers will be paying dearly as usual but I don't think the "balconied would be lawyers" will be doing anything much but corporate law or maybe real estate. Clearly the community is an inconvenience and the only thing they have not done is provide NYU buses and trolleys to bus us out.
The tenants of Stuy Town meant to be affordable housing way back when and by the way NYU has student housing there as well and Peter Cooper Village are trying to find an ally to buy the property. Good luck and Blessings!
The FBI made some raids today but I do not think they made arrests although they did get yelled at. True or false? I contacted the FBI about issues closer to home...? I am learning more and more about the NYPD and special units they have? Not true. One is true. All are true. I will let you know if you guessed correctly. Never a dull moment.
Just to hit the rewind button. Betty White is proof that some people age better with dignity and a sense of humor as she achieved monster ratings for her presence on Saturday Night Live and people loved her Super Bowl commercial. She is sizzling hot.
Oh by the way, I saw John Thain today getting in to a chauffeur driven mercedes on Central Park South...ho hum. I bet a meg-million he is happy he is not chair of GS right now although he has had his share -- not talking about a mother load of shares -- but share of trouble butless than golden after leaving Goldman Sachs, right?. He sure looked smooth today.
Prediction -- major fall-out over Steve Rattners pension fund scandals -- that scandal"s" with an s coming and splish splash it is going to splatter on king mayor Mike Bloomberg, just a little. Mike Bloomberg, what is the name of Steve Rattner's new firm he created just to manage you 5 billion dollars. Mayor Mike said Steve should not have to step down from his job at The White House and clearly Mike Bloobmerg still is supporting his good friend Steve Rattner.
All is quiet on this front for now but get ready for more head lines on this.... Apparently President Obama has a fan that thinks he is sizzling hot. I don't find the Pres. sizzling. I am not sure he is doing a great job but I do think he is a nice guy and compassionate. I can't say New York is feeling any of his benefits.

Lawrence Taylor denies sex do condoms lie? post Suzannah B. Troy
Lawrence Taylor is in deep trouble because in the State of New York it doesn't matter if he did not know the woman he had sex with was under age. He says he did not have sex with the under age prostitute but just pleasured himself.
This could all get down to a condom and lab results based on what investigators gathered from the hotel room.
In the mean time a supposed friend of the underage prostitute says she is lying. Some friend. She lived with the pimp and underage prostitute and was in the car when the underage woman allegedly bragged about earning the money without having sex with the john aka Lawrence Taylor. Is this supposed "friend" who is basically calling the underage prostitute a liar telling the truth or doing damage control? Is the friend the one lying? If she is, did someone put her up to it and if so are the people involved in damage control doing this and are they being given some incentives?
Maybe the answers to whether Lawrence Taylor is pulling a "Bill Clinton" as in I did not have sexual relations with that woman strategy, are in the contents of the condom. The underage sex worker said she was worried about getting pregnant because of "condom trouble"....that is my term not hers and Lawrence Taylor, she claims reassured her she had nothing to worry about because he shoots blanks meaning he had a vasectomy. If he does shoot blanks, how would she know that? Why would that have come up in conversation? She did not even know it was LT. It is understandable that a professional player might enjoy a promiscuous life style perhaps having sex with groupies that would follow the players from hotel to hotel would get a vasectomy because as I recall, I saw an Oprah segment where it has been documented that women preying on these athletes go to extreme measures to get these guys' sperm and get inseminated one way or another without their consent to get pregnant and have DNA proof for financial gain and connection to these pro-athletes.
Lawrence Taylor might be right he was set-up and so was the underage sex worker as well as beat up. Now she is called a liar by a stripper slash friend. Sounds like "the friend" may has been motivated to come forward to save Lawrence Taylor because she is a fan or who knows for other reasons but it ultimately comes down to LT saving LT and he may be figuring out how to do that behind bars. Lawrence Taylor and his team have every motivation to do damage control.
LT has already been hit with major financial fall-out and he does not want to go to jail so he has picked a "self loving" defense and witnesses aka "friends" can say what they want but people following this story will have to wait for the evidence to speak and the contents in the latex are key. There are, I am sure some men that put on a condom to pleasure themselves but in theory if he is shooting blanks how did the underage sex worker know? The contents of the condom will tell the truth. A sympathetic jury may let him walk what ever the evidence and if that happens if LT doesn't get his act together he will get in more trouble yet again. Lawrence Taylor was blind sided by Lawrence Taylor.

Yetta Kurland Restore St. Vincent's Site - Suzannah B. Troy
Dear Neighbor,
I hope you will attend our planning meeting to restore a hospital at the St. Vincent's site. It is this Thursday, May 13th at 6pm at Our Lady of Pompeii Church located at 25 Carmine Street (at Bleecker).
This is a follow up meeting from our April 30th Town Hall Meeting where Assemblymember Gottfried, Assemblymember Glick and Senator Duane joined us to discuss some of the serious concerns with how St. Vincent's Hospital was closed and equally serious concerns with the fact that we now have no hospital on the lower west side of Manhattan.
There was an incredible turnout of hundreds of community members. I am including some photos below of the April 30th meeting.
Many great ideas came out of this Town Hall discussion and many of you have emailed me since then with other great ideas and thoughts.
We need to hear from you this Thursday as we sit down together to organize our next action and get even more people out.
The only way we will hold those responsible for this illegal closure and get a new hospital for the Village is if we get our entire community to come out so please come on Thursday to help us plan how to do this.
Please RSVP by responding to this email that you are coming and let me know if you are bringing anyone.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
Best,
Yetta Kurland

Sucuzhanay murder not hate crime? - Suzannah B. Troy
Welcome to Brooklyn, New York and to two trials where you can gather together the only select group of people on the planet who don't believe Jose Sucuzhanay was beaten to death because of hate and prejudice. Jose and his brother were walking arm and arm when these hate mongers decided they must be gay and therefore beaten to death.
First of all what is wrong with someone that they are out there with so much rage on the streets of New York that they are beating people to death, stabbing them or shooting them?
These two trials are a mark of great shame on the City of New York, as if the murder of an innocent man simply walking home arm and arm with his brother, daring to be happy in a city filled with a lot of angry, lonely dysfunctional people in need of anger management classes, possibly medication, a life have to take someone else's life and do so attempting to beat two brothers to death.
These jurors lacked empathy and they assume it could never happen to them. I am straight but I have been gay bashed. It could happen to anyone of these jurors....welcome to NYC.
These cowardly thugs were so outraged by two men walking arm and arm happily together that they had to attempt to beat them both to death and they started by yelling gay slurs but according to trials in Brooklyn that doesn't count as prejudice and one even resulted in a mistrial. Both these monsters need to go away for a long, long time.
To add insult to injury the jurors for both cases say hey it was not a hate crime. I guess it doesn't count until it happens to them. I remember I was in college and I was with my Mom on Canal Street having shopped at Pearl Paint and was walking arm and arm with my Mom and this group of idiots made a homophobic comment. Around the world the jury is out and there can only be one conclusion about the people posing as jurors on this trial.
I have had gay bashing including be a stalker sicko with a camera who is so deluded and lonely he calls me his stalker when in fact he takes photos of me -- my back -- without my knowledge and sets up a gay bashing gang bang attack with his anonymous internet buddies which I turned in to the NYPD and lawyers.
On this YouTube I show you a crime scene in the West Village and it appears a man was severely beaten in the West Village and it was said to be because he was gay. They had to taken him to St. Vincent's and put him in a coma because of brain swelling. I have no idea how he is doing now and what is the status of this case.
Bottom line is NYC has way too high a threshold for hate, anti-woman and anti-gay.
