Oakland Stray Dog Found In The Rain, Needs Home - January 3, 2018

Oakland Stray Dog Found In The Rain, Needs Home - January 3, 2018 - Video

Oakland Stray Dog Found In The Rain, Needs Home - January 3, 2018 I saw this posted on the Oakland Glenview listserv, and by a Ms. Diane Hernek at dhernek@yahoo.com - just about 15 minutes ago. She writes: Please share on NextDoor and other groups. My neighbors and I picked up a dog this afternoon that's been running stray for at least a day. I checked the Oakland Lost and Found Pets pages and craigslist and have not found any posts of him. No collar or tags. No microchip. He's around 15-20 lbs, black in color, (young?) adult, and looks like a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. It took a little doing to get him, but now that he knows he's safe he's wagging his tail and seeking affection. He'll stay here for the night, but I cannot keep him. Please spread the word in case his people are searching. He's a very nice little dog. Glad to have him in out of the rain. Thanks, - Diane

Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders Head Coach To Be Is Republican Picked Romney Over President Obama In 2012

Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders Head Coach To Be Is Republican Picked Romney Over President Obama In 2012 - Video

Jon Gruden, the Oakland Raiders Head Coach Candidate who's caused a stir in Raider Nation over his much desired and anticipated return to the Silver and Black since he left in the year 2002, returns a different and more politically active man. According to political records that anyone can see without paying a fee, Jon David Gruden is registered member of the Republican party by voting record. Voterrecords.com describes Jon David Gruden as 54 years old and “affiliated with the Republican Party. He is a white, non hispanic male registered to vote in Hillsborough County, Florida.” Moreover, it has him as registered to vote as Republican since 1989. And the website of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) has “Jon David Gruden” listed in black and white and with the words “ESPN Sports Analyst” who lives in Tampa, Florida, and having donated to the campaign of Mitt Romney / Paul Ryan for President, twice, in 2012, and for a total of $600. That means Jon Gruden backed Mitt Romney for President over the incumbent, the popular Democrat, President Barack Obama in 2012. The same year, he gave $2,500 to the campaign of George Allen, Jr, for U.S. Senate (which I can understand for one reason: Bruce Allen was Gruden's boss with the Oakland Raiders as Senior Assistant. Mr. Allen is also a friend of mine, even though I'm a registered Democrat. In that instance, I would have helped Bruce Allen's brother if Bruce asked me to. But I would have not done so for President Trump or Mitt Romney, as I'm a stanched supporter of and volunteer for President Obama.) Those are the only politically-related listings I have found for Jon Gruden, but I thought it was importanrt to see in light of the whole Rooney Rule discussion, and Coach Gruden's naming two white offensive and defensive coordinators with less than stellar 2017 campaigns as his desired coordinators for the Raiders engagement, even before he was hired. The Rooney Rule, which says that an NFL team is to at least interview one minority head coaching candidate before a coaching hiring decision is made, was established in 2003. Gruden was not impacted by it at the time as he was already coach of the Tampa Bay Bucaneers and won Super Bowl XXXVII. What does he think of the Rooney Rule? From my perspective, he may have already answered that question with his comments on coordinators for the Raiders. And before you say that Gruden had as his Oakland Raiders Defensive Coordinator, Willie Shaw, who's African American, I have to tell you the Raiders fired Shaw in 2000, and the two are not on good terms according to online accounts. Shaw improved the Raiders Defense from 20th to 10th, but it seemed Gruden may have chafed at Shaw's desire to be a head coach himself. That's something he would have to address – if he wanted to. I'm wondering if Gruden's a Trump supporter, given that he backed Romney against Obama in 2012? Stay tuned. PLEASE INVEST IN ZENNIE62MEDIA VIA PAYPALHERE: http://ift.tt/2u7j8De

Oakland Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council Notes From December 14, 2017

Oakland Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council Notes From December 14, 2017 - Video

Oakland Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council Notes From December 14, 2017 This is from the December 14th, 2017 meeting of the Oakland Greater Rockridge Neighborhood Council. I have attacked a link to the full report; here are some highlights: The meeting was opened by Council chair Mike Ubell, and he was joined by Barbara Minton, Eric Neville, and Karen Ivy. Oakland Police Officer David Mac presented crime stats. Rockridge OPD Beat 12Y had 8 robberies compared to 121 of them for all of North Oakland between August 1st and December 1st of 2017. Officer Mac reports that a number of auto break-ins happen around the Rockridge Library. OPD Police Beat 13Y, also a part of Rockridge, had 4 residents break-ins, 15 auto break-ins, and one assault, and one reported murder and one robbery - that happened on Broadway and Monroe at 4PM, but the officer did not give the date of the crime. Also, an Oakland Resident and Google Economist Paul Liu introduced himself as a member of a group called "Safe Oakland." The organization raises money to fund private, unarmed security patrol officers. Overall, there has been a 30 percent drop in robberies and burgularies in Rockridge, but the good trend is not necessarily tied to the emergence of those groups. Indeed, I would think the reports would increase because of them, not go down. Here's the full report: http://ift.tt/2lS0CbV

Jerry Teach, Here’s Why Your Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders NFL Coaching Comment Was Racist

Jerry Teach, Here’s Why Your Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders NFL Coaching Comment Was Racist - Video

Jerry Teach, Here’s Why Your Jon Gruden Oakland Raiders NFL Coaching Comment Was Racist Jerry Teach, you wrote a comment on my Zennie62.com blog that I regard as racist. I normally don't approve such takes, but since yours rubber-stamps institutional racism, it was the perfect canddate for a teachable moment. First, racism is defined as “is the belief in the superiority of one race over another, which often results in discrimination and prejudice towards people based on their race or ethnicity.” What you have done is attempt to criticize me for pointing to generations of institutional racism in the NFL and as currently practiced. Specifically, Jon Gruden naming two white NFL assistant coaches as the ones he wants to hire, even before he was officially selected as Oakland Raiders Head Coach. In your rant, you point to two very tired arguments: first, the one that the Oakland Raiders hired Amy Trask as the first female CEO, then Art Shell as the first African American NFL head coach, and then Tom Flores as the first Latino NFL head coach. So, what? Just because any organization has firsts in the past does not give them brownie points to adopt a racist practice in the present. Where do I go with that? Do I assume that you really, yourself, know that is wrong, but don't care because you don't want to see society improve and stop practices of racial bias? If so, then your actions support racism, and therefore are racist. Then, you bring up another really over-used argument: population. As in, population percentage. But, I guess realizing that my take would be that 70 percent of NFL players are black, you then just bascially say to yourself, “well, the real deal for me is I'm just tired of all of these black folks in the NFL”! That's what you wrote Jerry Teach, That's what it boils down to. But the biggest and most racist act of all from you in for you as a white man to tell me as a black man what racism is, and to stop complaining about what is institutional racism defined: “Institutional racism (also known as institutionalized racism) is a form of racism expressed in the practice of social and political institutions. Institutional racism is also racism by individuals or informal social groups, governed by behavioral norms that support racist thinking and foment active racism. It is reflected in disparities regarding wealth, income, criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power and education, among other things. Whether implicitly or explicitly expressed, institutional racism occurs when a certain group is targeted and discriminated against based upon race. Institutional racism is mostly implicit in our ideas and attitudes, so it is often unnoticed by the individual expressing it (see implicit bias).” In this case, you, Jerry Teach, are the individual expressing institutional racism: you claim to want a system that swaps out one set of black players for another set who are not, and so on. You do this thinking its cute, while all the more showing how awful your point of view is. Ah, racist. The fact is, the NFL lacks black head coaches and coodinators because African Americans aren't selected to fill those positions by a power structure that's owned and controlled by people who are seen to be white. For you to attack anyone complaining about this, in itself, supports the maintenance of the problem. Therefore, again, you're racist. Your attempt at 'equalizing' our experience in life is also racist as it trivalizes what blacks deal with every day. How dare you try and tell me what racism is. Please stop debasing yourself. The bottom line is, it's plain wrong for Jon Gruden to be so openly insensitive to the problem of race in the NFL, and to not by appearances know any good black assistant coaches. Paul Gunther, the Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Coodinator that Jon Gruden named had a defensive unit that was ranked 18th in the NFL. John Morton, the New York Jets Offensive Coordinator that Mr. Gruden named as his desired offensive coodinator, ran a unit that ranked 28th in the NFL. So don't tell me he's picking “the best” as some have stupidly said. Don't try. Meanwhile Harold Goodwin was Arizona Cardinals Offensive Coordinator for all of the years Carson Palmer was the team's QB. While Arizona's offense was 23rd in the NFL this year, it was 9th the year before, 2016, and number one in 2015. Who ran the offense as coach and has since 2013? Harold Goodwin. That's the man Gruden should want – but guess what? He's black. Jerry Teach. Your take is racist. Period.

Donald Trump Says Steve Bannon Has Lost His Mind- Has Nothing To Do With His Presidency After former aide and Brietbart editor Steve Bannon took to blast members of the Trump Administration for a relationship with Russian operatives during the 2016 election Bannon called "treasonous", and including Donald Trump, Jr. President Donald Trump issued this statement: From press secretary Sarah Sanders: Statement from the President of the United States Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party. Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesn’t represent my base—he’s only in it for himself. Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books. We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down. Wow. Bannon and Trump were once seen as joined at the hip. Now, it looks like the pair are arguing with each other, perhaps in the process of seeking refuge from the Russian Collusion investigation.
