Vanity Fair Articles Cuomo regretted Rattner immunization by Suzannah B. Troy

The New York Post just came out with this article.  Click the link below....
I posted this comment....

If you read the Vanity Fair piece on Rattner (Lady Gaga on the cover) you learn that Cuomo regretted making a deal with Rattner giving him immunization from prosecution in exchange for information. Cuomo felt Rattner was with holding info. If Cuomo had not made the deal I believe Rattner would heading to jail and even he and Mike Bloomberg could not continue to deny, deny deny... Denial is the new crack cocaine from The White House were they made Rattner Car Czar to Albany to City Hall. Rangel, Rattner, Bloomberg, Espada, Monserrate, Christine Quinn, Seabrook, Arroyo family just to name a few deny deny deny because denial is the new crack cocaine for politicos.

Watch my new Tube from Yesterday: House of Bloomberg a tumblin down....Rattner pleads the 5th, rumor is Rattner pleaded the 5th amendment over and over and this was with the Security Exchange Commission who Rattner is hoping will not ban him for 3 years.

Of course Mike Bloomberg continues to stand by his man, Steve Rattner and they are both in denial.  The Vanity Fair article barely touches on King Mike but they have an entire section of
Denial to describe Steve Rattner!

Mayor Mike Bloomberg sympathetic to Guiliani by Suzannah B. Troy

Does mayor Bloomberg have any sympathy for the people that he has helped developers like Columbia University and Bruce Rattner to mass displace? Thanks to Caroline for wearing an NYU shirt which conveyed the message to me that NYU has been stealing up our communities where ever NYU occupies property from Stuy Town that was meant to be affordable housing to the East Village which NYU mega dormed to death to the West Village, to South St. Seaport to Brooklyn.  Mike has not been exposed for pulling a Rudy in terms of having an affair with a subordinate at City Hall and giving his than mistress raises including a huge one when he dumped for his judi, far less attractive than Donna but both Rudy and Mike have robbed the tax payers of New York big time.

The NY Post exposed the mayor's administrative assistants "double dipping" a must read if you haven't read that article giving these gals over 200,000 each plus the post estimates Mike is costing or robbing tax payers 2 million for his campaign staff so I am sure he is sympathetic to everyone but the people who truly deserve it -- the people of NYC!  At least the city was in better shape under Rudy; now it's falling a part and looks like a bad xerox of Dubai.  When Cooper Union tried their shady unethical real estate deals under Rudy his city planner not a socialite like Amanda the peoples' Burden said no to Cooper Union, supersizing - busting through zoning and leasing for 99 years is a shell game.  For these guys and I am including Steve Rattner, Charlie Rangel, denial is the new crack cocaine.  Impeach Bloomberg and his mini-me Christine Quinn.

Oh and look at this  comment not by me -- I guess Bloomberg is trying to figure out more ways to make people unemployed like ticketing vendors and almost every body possible that is not rich!

You see, NYU is the Bernie Maddoff of real estate.  NYU made off with our neighborhoods!

Artists wanted for protest Union Square post by Suzannah B. Troy

Dear Blog Readers:  I got this YouTube and a message from a dynamic artist Miriam.  This is her YouTube and you can visit her channel to see more and learn more about her struggle.  She is part of an artist movement fighting for the basic right to display their art.  Their 1st Amendment right is being violated.  Please if you can come out Saturday morning to protest in any way shape or form please do.  The artist that sent me has been ticketed up to here eye balls like so many New Yorkers that are struggling to survive.  In her case she wrote the Commissioner of The Parks Dept. and the excessive tickets and what I would call "wrong ticketing" will be dismissed.   I can't urge New Yorkers enough to fight the tickets.  I know part of the strategy is to eat up our time but if you can find the time and energy to fight wrong ticketing the odds are in your favor to get the tickets thrown out.   Please show up if you feel you can.  If you can't please spread the word.

Note from a brave artist, Miriam West and the YouTube channel and tube posted above is hers!

"A few of us artists are trying to get people to come out to union square park on wednesdays and saturdays with a display only stand or just a sign to let people know what's going on. here's a link to a video i took today of my display only stand. please feel free to put the link out there - we need all the help and bodies we can get!"

Please listen to YouTube and if you can show up anytime Saturday starting at 10AM thank you.

Please spread the word.

Ben Shaoul inside poop on Penthouse post by Suzannah B. Troy

Dear Blog Readers:  Click on this link and read the article by David Seifman of  The New York Post Article on Ben Shaoul and the penthouse.

A soource says the article is sh/t!

For the inside poop and scoop please read below!!!!!
I got this email from a source who knows.....

The Post article is shit.  Apparently, they thought it sufficient to speak with Marvin Mitzner, high powered real estate/zoning attorney for the owners of the buildings, the Shaouls, without quoting any tenants.  We thought the Times would write something this time but...

Here is the real story.  Yes, it is a partial symbolic victory that the seventh floors (so-called penthouses) must be removed but the BSA has acted irresponsibly by allowing the variance after initially ruling in 2008 that the vertical enlargements contravene strict enforcement of Multiple Dwelling Law fire and safety requirements.  Briefly, MDL 211 allows tenements to add a 6th floor or go to 75 ft. so long as the fire and safety provisions (found in Articles 3 and 5 of MDL) are met, that is, provided the non-fireproof building is fire-proofed.  When the tenants of 515 E. 5th St. and 514-516 E. 6th St. brought their appeal to the BSA (Board) opposing the DOB's allowance of the construction of two extra floors the Board agreed and issued a unanimous ruling revoking all permits.  The owners then appealed to Supreme Court.  That Judge tabled her decision and told the owner's they had not exhausted their administrative remedies, i.e. they could seek their own variance at the BSA.  The owners then went back to the BSA to do so but only on 514-516 E. 6th Street leaving the 5th St. building in limbo.  In fact, the Supreme Court judge should not have heard the cases together since the BSA had issued two separate rulings for the 5th and 6th St. buildings.

Corporation Counsel then gave the Board (BSA) a loophole through a strained interpretation of MDL 310 which discusses the BSA's legal authority to issue MDL variances.  Tenants argued that according to MDL 310(c) the BSA lacks legal authority to issue MDL variances because the building has been altered pursuant to plans filed after 1961.  But Corporation Counsel and the Board agreed with the owners that 310(a) pertained allowing the Board to issue variances because the building was in existence in 1948 (regardless of the fact that it was thereafter altered).  In other words, who cares about the alteration so long as the building existed before that.  Of course, an alteration presumes the existence of a building.  Otherwise, what would be altered.  This means that the plain language of the law should not have allowed the variance at all.

The facts of the case are also at issue.  The owners claimed to have provided "alternative" fire and safety provisions equal to or better than those required by the MDL but these claims have not been vetted in any way.  The Board simply accepted the owner's claims at face value.  The MDL explicity requires a 3 hr. fire rated enclosed central stairwell.  This should have necessitated the removal of all highly flammable wood studding and plaster lathing from the interior stair walls, the installation of four layers of fire-proof gypsum board drywall, two on each side of the stair walls (apt. and stair sides), the removal of wood studding from floors, a stairwell at least 3 ft. wide in all places, etc.  That's why these vertical enlargements have not been tried all over the city.  To strictly comply would be impossible in an occupied building because it most certainly would require a complete gutting of the building interior and total reconfiguration of apts.  The BSA has now ruled that simply by saying you have fire-proofed a building and adding a sprinkler system owners may circumvent these MDL restrictions, in place since 1929.

This is a terrible precedent.  Many other buildings may now go through the same ordeal perhaps not in this immediate area due to the reduced FAR under the new zoning but wherever possible owners will be looking at opportunities to add a sixth floor on their tenements simply by adding a sprinkler system, MDL be damned.

The tenants' point of view is that the owners should not be rewarded for making a bad investment based upon a plan which involved needed displacement of long-time rent regulated tenants.  They should not have spent exhorbitant amounts of money on these properties thinking that they could add luxury apt. square footage on top, behind, and below (at least in the case of 515 E. 5th), then use the conditions caused by construction to drive out long-time rent regulated tenants so that noone would be left to oppose their plans.  Ultimately, they then lease these new units to young NYU students, long term tourists, or Wall Street traders who make noise 24/7 and could care less about the aggrieved original tenants.

So, first the DOB ignored its mandate by allowing the projects and issuing permits and now the Board has reversed itself and given a green light to similar projects despite any claims they make make to the contrary.

But, they could not ignore all the MDL provisions, for instance those prohibiting the addition of a seventh floor without putting in an elevator.   That is why they have said remove the seventh floor (penthouses).  Other than that, they have given these owners and all developers seeking to do the same thing the rest of the pie.  They said you may now add an additional story to all your old law tenements simply by adding a sprinkler system.  This is not a responsible exercise of their duties.

According the the Post article the owners shall now seek a similar variance re 515 E. 5th Street requiring more legal battles from beleaguered tenants.   Any community would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.  It should also be said that the tenants at 515 E. 5th St. won a previous case before the BSA regarding the "Sliver Law" (Zoning Resolution 23-692) barring vertical enlargements beyond 60 ft where the Resolution applies.  Yet, even though neither BSA ruling affecting that building has been reversed the DOB has consistently ignored tenant entreaties to enforce the resolutions.  The sixth and seventh floors have been continuously occupied since Sep. 2007 despite the BSA rulings and despite the owner's failure to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy now required by the major alteration.  There are open DOB violations to this effect but the DOB refuses to issue vacate orders.   Three other apts. in the building are constructed contrary to approved DOB plans (3+ bdrms. instead of the approved 1 bdrm.) leading to overcrowding and persistent noise problems.  The DOB has also issued violations for these including administrative violations for falsely claiming correction (these carry a criminal penalty).  These latter violations were dismissed when the owners' representative swore under oath and submitted questionable documents at an Environmental Control Board hearing in Sept. 2009.  They asserted that it was not they but their tenants who constructed the additional full walls in one of these apts. and that this happened not once, but twice.  All efforts to get the DOB and ECB to do something have been ignored.  The District Attorney's office seems uninterested in pursuing a clear case of misrepresentation of the facts (tenants have full hearing transcripts from the ECB through a FOIL request).

Ben Shaoul is rumored to be shady and less than ethical -- just google his name and also try other spellings like Ben Shaul  -- there may be even other spellings.....

Bloomberg Staffers EXPOSED by Suzannah B. Troy

So corrupt and more is to be exposed.  Wolfson is such a sell-out dirt bag and how many city council members that voted to extend term limits were and are getting kick backs oops campaign donations from developers?  Way too many...With Wolfson just underscores what a greedy guy he is and he was originally anti-Mike but Mike bought him and now we the tax payers pay Wolfson's 6 figure salary that Mike should pay out of pocket.  THE BIGGEST JOKE IN TOWN -- THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST COMMITTEE.

Above 2 links to The New York Daily News exposing kick backs aka campaign donations from real estate developers and the one directly above ends exposing Christine Quinn -- no Jane Jacobs.

Again Mike Bloomberg blurs the lines between his private and public empire. He had an advertisement on the steps at Grand Central that said "Think Bloomberg". Orwellian. Time to look back and go over how many city council members got kick backs/campaign donations from developers including Christine Quinn and also research the developments. Sounds like it is time for firing staff at city hall and maybe some arrests. Impeach Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn. Deputy Goldsmith said no more hiring buddies hardee har...what a joke.

And click here to read another article and this on Wolfson having investments in a company developing The Nets Arena.  Just remember Wolfson is the sell-out behind the most humiliating expensive win in NYC history and helped Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn to flush democracy down the toilet.

Wolfson disliked Bloomberg as well but Mike bought him like he bought the election and than put him on the payroll at city hall with a six figure salary along with many other campaign staffers on the tax payers back.  It shows Wolfson's greed and why he wants to be where he is willing to compromise his integrity and sell out.  Almost all of the  Bloomberg gang and city council that wanted to extend term limits were and are in bed with developers.  In fact these city council members were exposed receiving kick backs oops campaign donations.  It is all so corrupt, financially and politically incestuous and no paper wants to cover Steve Rattner, his pension fund scandals, the name of his new firm, if and when he gets banned by the SEC and his shunting Mike's money to the Cayman Islands.

. Wolfson huge sell out -- political whore -- sorry to insult whores exposed and I bet more to come...

More corruption will be exposed stay tuned....

Oh dear...here is more corruption already this morning and it is not even 7AM!

Mike Bloomberg's money manger -- Steve Rattner pleads 5th but the NY Post not telling much so here is my comment

The article leaves out the fact Rattner stepped down from his job as Car Czar he said to spend more time with his family here in NYC.  Is Mike Bloomberg his family?  Everyone else believes he was forced to step down because of the pension fund scandals which would splish splash all the way to the White House. Denial is the new crack cocaine. Rattner wrote a book on rescuing the auto industry and he hopes to still plug the book with the help of his other bf the owner of The NY Times who I believe he also money manages.  Rattner believed Quadrangle would take the fall -- not him so he shifted 5 bill of Mike money out to create a new firm.  What is the name of this new firm? He was wrong Quadrangle disavowed him.  In a pathetic bio on Bloomberg by Joyce Purnick also a gal w/ a book that gets the full support of the NYTimes she points out Rattner urged Mike to run for a 3rd term.  Gee I wonder why? It was a huge conflict of interest for Rattner's company to be involved in pensions and is Steve Rattner a whiz or someone who just doesn't respect limits and the rules?  Rattner has shifted a small amount of Mike's billions for charity to the Cayman Islands and Mike and Steve are less than forth coming on this just like everything else.  Impeach Mike Bloomberg and the SEC needs to ban Rattner.

Click on the link for Cayman Islands -- “QAM Select Investors (Offshore) Ltd.  -- when Rattner tried to set Quadrangle up for the fall he shifted 5 billion of Mike Bloomberg's money out.  Did he shift it to QAM -- is that the new company he created to handle Mike Bloomberg's money?

Hartford Distributors Manchester, Connecticut shooting deaths at 9

According to The Hartford Courant in Hartford, Connecticut, Omar Thornton, who faced disciplinary action at Hartford Distributors, Inc., opened fire and killed what is now said to be nine people in Manchester, Connecticut, then was shot by police.

Earlier reports were that Omar Thornton shot himself; he did not. It was called a "cop shooting" because Omar Thornton did not put his gun down, so police opened fire.

According to Fox CT News video on the Hartford Courant page, and via the mother of a woman, Kristi Hannah, who dated him for eight months, the shooter, 34-year old Omar Thornton, who's African American, complained of racism to his employers, but they did nothing.

John Hollis, a Teamsters Union official said that Omar Thornton, who was a driver with Hartford Distributors, was a "discipline problem" and the union was bringing Thornton in to "remedy" the problem.

Thornton shot a number of people, and as of this writing, it's not known how many because what once stood at seven killed just rose to nine killed, so we don't know how many were injured in some kind of way. Here's the exact quote from the Hartford Courant regarding Omar Thornton's possible motive for the shooting at Hartford Distributors:

Joanne Hannah, who lives in the Enfield neighborhood where Thornton lived until about a month ago, said her daughter Kristi had dated Thornton for eight years. Thornton, who is black, had complained about being racially harassed at work. Thornton brought his complaints to his superiors, who did nothing about it, she said her daughter told her.

A New Trend: blacks who kill over racism

It seems there's a new and to this blogger, disturbing "small" trend of late where black men are as likely to commit workplace shootings as any white male.

Stephen Hill
The last person that comes to mind was was porn star Stephen Hill in Van Nuys, California, who, in June, went off and killed one person and stabbed another at the Ultima DVD office. Hill was black, and like Thornton, was about to be fired from his job. In Hill's case, he was called a "wacky guy" and no one mentioned racism. But then, no one who was close to him was interviewed at the time.

This is disturbing because I and my generation (I turn 48 tomorrow) was raised to be hardened and to expect racism, to point it out, but to not react violently to it.

Because racism is a mental illness, people who are racist are to be treated with pity and avoided.  That's the way I'm conditioned to think.

Frankly, you just didn't hear of someone black who would open fire and kill anyone over racism. We were instructed that it was a sickness that's "just part of the deal" and something you needed to overcome to be successful.

This small trend says nothing good about the overall mental strength of the next generation of black men. If one who's black and make expects to be successful in America, reacting violently to racism can't be considered an option.

Stay tuned.

Garden Activist arrested City Hall Trees & King Mike by Suzannah B. Troy

Bravo for the activist that climbed up in the tree and refused to come down until Mike Bloomberg promised to protect community gardens.

Reminder "TREES" that lived their entire lives in Washington Square Park were ripped out and taken away for NYU and Mike Bloomberg's unwanted "improvements".

I am next.   I am climbing up the same tree and I am not coming down until Mike Bloomberg fires his campaign staff and reimburses the City of New York, Christine Quinn and her staff tell us the people how much tax payer money has been spent on their defense attorneys and democracy is returned to NYC....

Manhattan DA must recuse from Haggerty trial by Suzannah B. Troy

Note:   I posted the comment below but I am not sure the comment will make it up on the website.
Maggie Haberman thinks few have successfully taken on Bloomberg? He spent 109 mill and barely won.

I was sent an email that I posted on my blog accusing Cy Vance of campaign irregularities.   It came to my attention that  Maura Keaney is married to Guma who worked on Vance's campaign and Vance still owes him money. Keaney was working with Haggerty.  She than was pulled off to work with Christine Quinn with both ending up being skewered by Jim Dwyer in The New York Times for intimidation and all kinds of behavior lacking integrity...ho hum..maybe the Manhattan DA is not the one to be prosecuting this case because king Mike, Teflon Mike holds the purse strings to Cy Vance's budget and we know that Mike and his mini me Christine Quinn are notorious for retaliation against city council members that dare to pretend this is still a democracy.

Also note that I and a group of New Yorkers fighting Mike and Christine Quinn's wrong actions denying us a referendum where cyber stalked and harassed on YouTube as well as City Council member Tony Avella's identity stolen, not a YouTube member along with YouTube members and my theory is this was all done by a paid campaign staffer, or staffers, maybe some interns starting with a young woman who calls herself Cleo.  Cleo would fill mine and other youtubers with spam like comments about Mike and 311 and she would contact every person who commented in support of no third term for Mike.  So many identities contacted and harassed me it became one voice -- a male voice who stalked me and yet again contacted any one who was commenting.  I wrote a comment on The NY Post website under an article on Cy Vance asking that Cy Vance and the NYPD investigate this as part of campaign corruption and I let it be known I filed an aggravated harassment complaint.  I had told the creep I had done so and he did not believe me.  Why would he continue way after the election?  Because Bloomberg and his campaign staff Mike is forcing tax payers' to pay 2 million dollars for according to The NY Post are continuing to work in preparation for Mike to run for President.

Mike wiring money out of his checking account instead of his campaign account sure appears criminal to me.  There is 108 million that needs to be investigated and the YouTube resistance against Bloomberg can verify we were spammed, cyber stalked, harassed and some had identities stolen plus a City Council Member that ran against Bloomberg.  The author of this piece is of course wrong -- we were very effective against Bloomberg in fact so successful he barely won.  We had talked about hiring a bus -- a no third term bus and driving it through all 5 boroughs.  The press would finally have to report the resistance and if we had done so Bloomberg might not have won.  Also note my brilliant political poster lampooning him and asking "Is Democracy for Sale?" was completely blacked out by the press.  The press/media did Bloomberg's corrupt dirty work and did not break any laws doing so.  Well The Villager and NYU turned away the press including NY1 and seniors...

Yet all of Christine Quinn supporters got in.  NYU is perhaps the biggest land owner and could not supply a space big enough to include New Yorkers.   The Villager did not want NY1 in because they did not want any competitive video footage.    The Villager endorsed Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn.  At the end of this YouTube someone says get this video to The New York Daily News but The New York Daily News and The New York Post and The New York Times never covered this debacle that should have been aired also on ever major television station on the local news.

There are more YouTubes exposing what went down.   Also Yetta Kurland I believe would have won a major upset if Maria Passante Derr had stepped down and supported Yetta.  Derr split the vote and help Christine Quinn to barely win and Mike Bloomberg's win was even more humiliating.

Bloomberg seeks to end progressive reforms by Louis Flores

Mayor Bloomberg and Deputy Mayor Goldsmith want to unwind Tammany Hall reforms.
 Michael
Bloomberg, Tammany Hall, Progressive Politics, Political Reform, Integrity in Government, Public
Service, Thomas Nast, Suzannah B. Troy, muckrakers
At a July 20, 2010 breakfast meeting, Stephen Goldsmith, the new Deputy Mayor of New York City,
was compared to Jane Jacobs for the way he applied ''urban renewal'' to Indianapolis. Now that
he is in New York City, Mr. Goldsmith has joined forces with Mayor Michael Bloomberg to
transform New York City.

In the presence of political reporters Erik Engquist and Michael Scotto, the new deputy
mayor described his political beliefs, which serve to underpin his worldview and approach to
government.

Mr. Goldsmith said that a progressive form of government developed post-Tammany Hall, and Mr.
Goldsmith credited progressive reforms with professionalizing the way that cities work. He said that
we don't hire ''buddies'' anymore. Neither do we award government contracts in ways that would be
questioned, he said.

But now, Mr. Goldsmith said, all the rules that made government free of corruption have worked to make  government more complex. He cited as an example that all these rules create a lack of authority in the city, where government leaders need permission from another level of bureaucrats before efficiency
could be brought to the way the city government could be run. He seemed to say that the believed that
the rule-based system needed to be changed, so that city employees could be ''liberated,'' and that
this would result in civil workers being able to be creative while also being held accountable.
The way that he sees things, Mr. Goldsmith said, public service used to attract people, who were
interested in helping the public. Instead, he said, public service is only about enforcing the
rules.

To Mr. Goldsmith, rules may be problematic to the kinds of changes he envisions bringing to New York
City government, but rules have a reason for being : they are needed, because people are apt to have
lapses in integrity. Anytime that politicians have an opportunity to privitise government services,
there is a temptation to award government contracts to their well-connected friends or political
allies.

The model of how he privatised government services while he was mayor of Indianapolis would be
difficult to do here, in New York City, because he believes that the progressive rules in New York
City give no discretion to the city's workers.

According to Wikipedia, '' Keeping corruption out of politics was a main goal of the progressive
era
, with many Progressives trying to expose and undercut political machines and bosses. ''
To be fair to Mr. Goldsmith, his opinions about reforming the rules that govern city employees extend
to ''unlocking'' the potential of existing city workforce. He said he believes that progressive era
rules were set because one could not trust the discretion (or judgment) of government employees. But
once you begin to give higher level government employees discretion, one very quickly creates a
situation, where political leaders begin to misuse that discretion. Political bosses are often
associated with dishonesty, self-dealing, conflicts of interest, profiteering from government, and
other forms of corruption.

Take, for example, the way that Mayor Bloomberg came to win a third term as mayor.
Before the end of his second, and what should have been his last, term, Mayor Bloomberg advocated for
an extension of term limits, which would have resulted in the possibility that could have campaigned
for a third term as mayor. With help from the City Council and a secret deal with Ronald Lauder, Mayor Bloomberg won the change in term limits by denying voters a referendum on the matter. What they mayor did was rely on the discretion of the City Council to change the law governing term limits. Last year, Mayor Bloomberg won a third term after having reported that he had spent approximately $109 million only to win by an unexpectedly slim margin of less than 5 per cent.

To get the kind of governance structure that the mayor wants, the CityPragmatist blog has reported
that there is a current movement by the 2010 Charter Revision Commission to increase the mayor's discretion over city agency reports. The increase of the mayor's discretion would come at the cost of City Council's ability to review and “extend or enhance” any city agency report.

Research and history published on Wikipedia also indicated that the reforms of the progressive era
brought more transparency to government. ''Progressives moved to enable the citizenry to rule more
directly and circumvent political bosses; California, Wisconsin, and Oregon took the lead. California
governor Hiram Johnson established the initiative, referendum, and recall,
viewing them as good influences for citizen participation ....''

What were the motives of City Council members,
who supported Mayor Bloomberg's extension of
term limits ?

Artist and social media commentator Suzannah B. Troy was also present to witness Mr.
Goldsmith's speech at his July 20, 2010 breakfast meeting. She has described the vote by City Council
to allow an extension of term limits a conflict of interest, because the same extension of terms
limits allowed many council members to run for, and win, a term, including Council Speaker
Christine Quinn.

Going back to the history about past political corruption in New York City, the the term ''Tammany Hall'' is "used to refer to a corrupt system of buying or
controlling votes."
And respected political reporter Gabe Pressman has described how the influence of money can corrupt politics.
"Abraham Lincoln spoke at Gettysburg of his ideal of a government of the people, by the
people and for the people. He didn’t mean government of the fat cats and by the fat cats. With all due
respect to the feline family -- and I happen to love cats -- Lincoln was an apostle of democracy in a
purer sense. ¶ The machinations of millionaires and billionaires are foreign to what he believed. The
lack of strict laws governing campaign expenditures continues to be a disgrace to our
country."

Giuseppi Logan Brecht Forum by Suzannah B. Troy

http://brechtforum.org/  Giuseppi Logan will be playing tonight at Brecht Forum.  For those who don't know I discovered him playing on a freezing cold winter day 2 years ago to an empty park. I posted a moving rendition of Begin the Beguine and before I knew it jazz fans and critics were contacting me from all over the world celebrating he was in fact alive.  He was looking for a home, a place to compose music and play music.

I ran home and posted the amazing video footage and immediately found a British film maker's video footage of Giuseppi with a little boy Jaee holding hands in Tompkins -- same park almost 45 years before me!

Peter Gershon, publisher of Signal to Noise, wrote a stirring piece about Giuseppi Logan and acknowledged my work along with the British film maker; a powerful piece worth checking out.

Since my first YouTube and now there are over 20 tube in my YouTube documentary he has now cut a new CD, the first since his 2 well received ones by ESP in the 1960's.   An angel posing as a human being who works for Salvation Army found him a small space in one the Salvation Army's houses that helps people struggling like Giuseppi which is beyond awesome and his little sliver of a living place filled with instruments donated to him by the Jazz Foundation and given to him by kind people fill his little room.

He is playing at the Stone  August 15.   I am hoping his son will be back to continue work on his documentary and that down the road a major motion picture will be made to tell Giuseppi Logan's story as well as honoring the tragic loss of GL's grandson, same name as his son Jaee's memory.  Jaee was murdered by a cowardly act of gun violence, several shots to the back of his head at a barbecue  He was an honor student and a football star and like his grandfather, and Dad Jaee he had the musical gift.\

Note: The film would honor jazz but also raise awareness and hopefully raise money for a foundation to help stop gun violence.  Who knows maybe there will be a series of films....

The film like my YouTube documentary would underscore even in the latest chapters of your life you can find some kind of redemption.

You can see my first YouTube discovering Giuseppi Logan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTssjT9rAmQ and I did not know who he was.  As an artist I had a powerful feeling for him -- playing to empty seats....admired his passion and drive at such an old age to get out and play in freezing cold weather.

A friend of his youngest child Jaee and only child from Guiseppi's 2nd marriage told Jaee there is this woman on YouTube filming your Dad!  Jaee did not know his father was still alive and after losing his son he wanted to be reunited with his Dad.

I helped make that happened and captured them reunited for the first time in over 40 years so the little boy in the YouTube I found from so long ago in Tompkins is reunited once again with his Dad thanks to a YouTube miracle that I am honored to be part of!

Chippy D - Laurence Fishburne's girl a porn star, Kim Kardashian thanked

Montana Fishburne, the daughter of famed actor, Laurence Fishburne, is certainly making her dad an unhappy camper as she's now called "Chippy D" and is a porn star.

According to MissJia.com via TMZ.com, Montana Fishburne thanks her hotness Kim Kardashian for the idea. She says it was Kim Kardashian's sex tape that gave her inspiration.

Laurence Fishburne is the famous TV and movie actor best known for playing Mobius in the Matrix film series. But what was going on at home?

19-year-old Montana Fishburne told the site CarltonJordan.com that she had a lot of at-home experience in playing a porn actress.

Uh...what?

No word on what Laurence Fishburne thinks about all of this, yet. And according to her Twitter account, Kim Kardashian's too busy grinding with Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Miles Austin to even care:

time to shine ;-) RT @MilesAustiniii -@kimkardashian rise and grind. ;)

Charles Rangel sign of the times by Suzannah B. Troy

And below of course you can read what I have to say.

"Serial offender", denial is his crack cocaine, he thinks he is above the law and untouchable.  How many other politicos does that describe?  Too many!!! Mike Bloomberg wired money out of his personal account instead of his campaign.  If any poor schlub running for office did that they would be in trouble; not "Teflon Mike".  Accidental gov. Paterson in my opinion absolutely called a victim of spousal abuse by his staff member who I am sure had a past of this kind of behavior and should go to jail for attempting how ever gently to silence a victim.  It is not just these offenders but the people, groups and judges that let them walk away over and over.  Special note: I attended the Crain's Breakfast for the inarticulate bumbling deputy mayor Goldsmith and he said a figure of the NYC budget deficit next year which was STAGGERING.  Next years budget crisis could be described as a terror attack.

Time for the corrupt city council members that voted to extend term limits to vote themselves another raise but they need to start unvoting themselves raises, stop wasting- stealing tax payer money and taking the subway instead of using car services. We need king Mike to fire his campaign staff and reimburse the city for their salaries because he had no right to hire them. But these ideas aren't in Goldsmith's agenda to save the city some money. It would help if Albany closed their 9.2 billion dollar budget crisis which was supposed to be closed last April.

Here is an article from The New York Post covering the anger, sadness and Betrayal felt by people in Harlem.   I feel that way about Mike Bloomberg.
