Bloomberg's goat sing? Stieg Larsson 4th? -- Suzannah B. Troy

What does Stieg Larsson’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” and my new YouTube, “Bloomberg’s goat may sing like a bird + Stieg Larsson’s 4th book trilogy + 1” have in common beside the Swedish author? Watch my YouTube and see how I explain why in America his books are selling like wild fire.  The 3 books have been filmed in Sweden and the first has been released here in the U.S.A.

Larsoon died of a heart attack at ago 50 and he did not have a will.  He never married his live in love so his father and brother inherited everything.  His live in love, an architect has the fourth book on her computer and she is not allowing it to be published unless the inheritance is properly negotiated.  She points out on his website they were not involved in his life what so ever....

Why are the books such a sensation?  Because Larsson values democracy and the books address muck raking, fighting corruption, the role of reporters to expose corruption and ask tough questions which happens less and less all weaved in to a violent saga including hitting on the financial sector.  The books are about corruption!

The Swedish star who plays Lisbeth Salander looks like a female Johnny Depp.  Her name is Noomi Rapace.  Michael Nyqvist plays Mikael Blomkvist who is muck raker supreme and the co-owner of a magazine devoted to -- you guessed it -- muck raking.

So non-New Yorkers, guess what?  Mike Bloomberg decided mayor wasn’t good enough and he was going to be king of New York.  He denied us a referendum and put the vote in front of a city council riddled with corruption.   Yikes.  His money manger and good friend Steve Rattner had to step down from his job at the White House as Car Czar, he said to spend more time with his family but looks like Andrew Cuomo just busted him here in NY for shady dealings and his company Quadrangle disavowed him.  

Fast forward to my YouTube.  I have been following David Seifman’s pieces on the Bloomberg campaign scandal involving the Independence Party and fall guy John Haggerty.

It is pretty impressive that Mike Bloomberg spent almost 110 million to steal, oops just barely win an election...the most humiliating and expensive in NYC history and the only unaccounted money is $750,000.00.   Haggerty says he is being set-up and if they scape goated him, he is going to sing, spill his guts to avoid jail.  

My first YouTube was “Mayor Bloomberg King of New York” and my newest calls him “Teflon Mike”.  I look at him as a smart version of Peter Sellers in “Being There”.

Suge Knight arrested in LA post by Suzannah B. Troy

TMZ reports Suge Knight was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and bail is set at $65,000.00.  




Why would this report catch my attention?  I have never listened to rap music so how would I even know the name Suge Knight? 




One night I was flipping the channels and came across this film Notorious  as in Notorious B.I.G and I was riveted by this powerful film directed by George Tillman, Jr. with a terrific cast including new comer Jamal Woolard and "young Biggie" is played by Christopher Jordan Wallace, Biggie's real life son with singer, wife Faith Evans.    


You learn how Biggie connected with Lil Kim and influenced her career as well as made a staggering fortune with his street poetry telling it like it is although his Mom admits he was a big time embellisher at times but his words hit a chord with the people. 




I knew nothing of the rap world and once I watched this film, I started to watch documentaries including the one on Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls by famous documentarian Nick Broomfield who has made films on Heidi Fleiss, Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer and many other provocative films.   




After watching his film on Tupac and Biggie it seemed one major theory as to why and how these rappers were murdered was Suge Knight was responsible.  The theory is Suge Knight knew that Tupac was going to leave his record label and by killing Tupac he would be able to hold on to the massive fortune Tupac was generating for him.  Tupac and Suge used to watch The Godfather over and over and there is a scene where Tupac recites lines from the film.  The movie suggests Suge lived and continues to live his life like the film.  A girlfriend was set to testify against Suge in a separate case and she simply disappeared. 


How does all this tie in to the murder of B.I.G?  The theory is that Suge Knight masterminded blowing him away and creating this East Coast West Coast rivalry which really did not exist until it was created with a nefarious motive to take them both out and for B.I.G to be wrongly accused of having Tupac killed.  Knight has his supporters that deny this.






This time it appears there is enough evidence to send Suge Knight back to jail where you see him in Broomfield's documentary.  Nick Broomfield is so tenacious and ballsy he won't take no for an answer and convinces the warden and Knight to allow him to interview Knight.  Broomfield shows us Knight's website at the end of the film which seems like a very  thinly veiled death threat against Snoop Dogg. To date the police have never caught the murderers of Tupac and B.I.G but if you watch Nick Broomfield's documentary than you might conclude the man that called the shots was arrested today and needs to pay $65,000 bail to get out of jail for packing heat and being threatening....

NYC Tax PAYER $ WASTED post by Suzannah B. Troy

The intersection has never healed and a NYC City Gov mini car is parking right in front of a crater in one corner of where this medium size water main break took place one block from where Cooper Union was building it "new hideous ugly" Studio building and my opinion Cooper Union's construction was too much for "old" New York's infrastructure. I could not find the city employee that parked the car right by this infamous intersection and one store closed right after the water main break because of it. I spoke to a guy working at the church to share my frustration at this car being parked here on no city gov worker to actually do the job of inspecting street conditions.  He shared my feeling and remembered the water main break well.

            Your tax payer money wasted and doing nothing - parked in front of a crater East Village. A few blocks down by the 9th Precinct on 5th Street looking West I asked a guy working are you here working on "street conditions" and he said no, he is here working on a gas line as an outside contractor for Con Ed.

This mini-car with a custom paint job that says Street Conditions Observation Unit is parked right at this very intersection which has a medium size water main break and now remains a wound that won't heal. How many infrastructure related breaks has the East Village Lower East Side done to and including Chinatown had since Mike Bloomberg pushed a reckless tsunami of development.....? Way too many.... How can you push development without addressing infrastructure first? Easily if you are Mike Bloomberg.


Here I talk about Cooper Union in my opinion endangering our community because of infrastructure concerns  and since I made this YouTube the build has been put on hold for 2 years.  Cooper Union renting to their little yellow Science right now to NY Film Academy but their goal is tearing down the building,  supersizing and leasing for 99 years.  Even Guiliani's city planner said no -- this is a shell game but Amanda the socialite mega millionaire city planner the people's Burden of course gave it and every zone buster the green light which is why are streets look like this and we have so many infrastructure breaks.

Hands Around St. Vincent's Action post by Suzannah B. Troy

Dear Neighbor,

20 days now our community has been without a hospital, without a plan to ensure public health and safety for lower Manhattan and without an explanation for why our hospital collapsed in a matter of days in breach of the law and without so much as an investigation, or public hearing.

It is a testament to your voice, your persistence and your unyielding message that our elected officials are coming together on Friday May 21st at 5pm at Our Lady of Pompeii Church (25 Carmine Street at Bleecker) with a group of health care professionals to discuss "How Can We Get Back A Hospital For Our Community".  This is the first time this has happened since the illegal vote to close St. Vincent's Hospital on April 6th.

While this is an opportunity for us, we must show up and make clear that our community needs a hospital at the St. Vincent's site.  And though there are many possible ways to do this, there is no question that this can and must be done.  Moving the hospital to some remote location or waiting until it is part of some future real estate speculation will not solve the urgent medical crisis that exists today because St. Vincent's Hospital was allowed to collapse without an appropriate back up plan.  The leaders and experts who will be at the Friday meeting have the power and ability to make this happen, and we must convince them to do so.

A hospital will bring more revenue to New York City, it will make our community safe and it is the only way to ensure public health and safety for the lower west side of Manhattan.  The most efficient way to do this is to adaptively reuse the current infrastructure of St. Vincent's with proper and fiscally responsible oversight.  We must ensure the hospital comports with the look and feel of our community, is not determined by real estate interests but by our needs, and offers services for all of our community.  We must call for a use lock to be placed on the property by City Council to ensure the only use for St. Vincent's is a hospital.  This will stop the real estate forces from using the bankruptcy procedure to grab the site for luxury housing development.

And time is precious.  As each day goes by I hear more stories of disorganization, and lack of medical services from my neighbors.  Each time one of us needs emergent medical service we realize how serious this issue is, and every day or week that goes by the bankruptcy court allows another piece of St. Vincent's property to go on the bidding block.  If they can shut a hospital down in 21 days, they can open one with just as much speed.

If you are able, I hope that you will join me in showing our strength and making clear our message this Friday.  We rely on our elected officials to put our interests first, to stand up to real estate interests, privatized health care interests and to corporate malfeasance.  We believe that where there is a will there is a way and we must demand our leaders understand our will and find a way.

Corrupt developers, landlords, contractors aided by City of NY? post by Suzannah B. Troy

Mike Bloomberg has many stains on his “legacy” as mayor of New York besides denying the people of New York a referendum, driving the city in to a further black hole making promises with union and community groups he could not keep and pushing a reckless tsunami of development on “old” New York’s infrastructure which has caused mass displacement and untold nightmares for the people of NYC.

Every commissioner, city council  and Con Ed needed to demand that Mike Bloomberg stop this reckless tsunami of development but instead a green light was given to every greedy, ruthless developer, contractor and throw in shady landlords because when it comes to the DOB, Dept. of Buildings, ECB, Environmental Control Board you can be as corrupt and bad as you want to be and know fines will not stop you from keeping up “the badness”.    We have had entire buildings collapse, people dead and injured, way too many under Bloomberg until finally we had the mayor repeating our mantra "safety first" although it is business as usual.

The City of New York is owed mega-millions, possibly close or over a billion combined for out standing fines local activists have told me and I made two YouTubes about it last year.  

Could you imagine if a drunk driver hit a pole and was given a fine and never paid it and was back out on the street, and than got another fine and was allowed to continual get back behind the wheel of a car anyway?

Well if you are a bad faith developer, contractor or land lord you can have fines up to your eye balls from the DOB and ECB and nothing will slow you done and in fact Mike Bloomberg and his city planner Amanda the mega millionaire socialite Burden, the people’s burden have aided and abetted as many of this corrupt wheelings and dealings to empty buildings, to empty entire neighborhoods supporting eminent domain abuse for instance by Columbia University and the entire neighborhood of Manhattanville.

Daniel Peckham knows what is like to be have his existent be “inconvenient” as covered in 2006 by The Village Voice  and he continues to fight on like Sisyphus and he is not alone.

As exposed by The New York Post, Moshe Pillar has been trying to evict an elderly grandmother who also happens to be a Holocaust Survivior.  She survived the Holocaust but this 92 year old Grandmother had no idea she would be harassed and treated like garbage by landlord Moshe Pillar here in New York City.  I wonder how many violations he has?

Also note that when buying property here in NYC, the legal contract often has a clause the developers is not held accountable for any misinformation aka lies by advertisements and sales people.  I wrote State Attorney General Cuomo why are real estate deals allowed to have a clause that basically says it is okay to lie to a buyer?

NYU bought the air over St. Ann’s from the USPS and the site is historical so Andrew Berman discovered that the USPS had broken the law.  The USPS had to notify the State of New York before selling the air space.  That never happened, the USPS never notified the State and like the corrupt shady landlords, developers, contractors no agency is going to hold them accountable.

If you have violations from any division of NYC and you have not made good on those violations shouldn’t you be shut down and stopped?

How about an App (Application) for our Iphones and mobile devices listing all the fines against developers, contractors, landlords kind of like the sexual predator app that comes with their address and picture?

Some of us have joked about these greedy wheelers and dealers hiring thugs to intimidate and beat them up like in the old days or even a hit man to get their rent control apartments or to silence voices that speak out against corruption but non are needed because the City of New York is not going to do it’s job and protect the people.

Let us stop and pause and remember 47 East 3rd Street where the son of a Greek shipping magnate sold himself the building to himself for bubkas and than evicted an entire building of people with affordable housing when he and his family could afford to live anywhere in NYC.  The Economakieses make the Hell's Angels who live a few doors down look like Saints.  It is an ugly, ugly story.  I included just one article from The New York Times.

Some inspectors are paid off, some are incompetent....remember the crane incidents, one after the other where people died or where injured?  It goes on and on but it just seems corruption, incompetents and even laws favoring landlords and developers or in the case of NYU and the USPS they are simply above the law so they laugh all the way to the bank.

Cash & Carrie, Lindsey's new Lesbian Love + true catastrophes post by Suzannah B. Troy

Sarah Jessica Parker  is being humiliated by The New York Post for being obscenely rich and obscenely cheap. However, what is not mentioned is she is not alone and from what I have seen first hand there is only  one “celebrity” that is not cheap and that is Jack Nicholson. The list of stars including a director who cast himself in his own films and than has very expensive underwear (not Hanes)  purchased for him.  He than has them washed over and over by the costume designer's assistants.   Hint..I dislike him more than another director I won't mention that is under house arrest for having sex with a minor.  

At one point some production companies have attempted to ask celebrities to pay something when they kept their clothes from movie shoots. Bottom line is everyone in the industry that can get something for free and hold on to their massive fortunes does.  They also attempt to negotiate "plebeians" for as little $ as possible...ho hum.

Jack Nicholson is the only celebrity that seems to me  to remember his roots and is just generous, and he used to be a big bad flirt from what I have heard.  He probably still is.  

I have even witnessed highly  paid women in the entertainment business including one of the highest paying magazines -- trying to lower the price on the smallest of transactions and than brag to

 (was it me ?) about paying x amount of thousands to have the dark circles removed from under her eyes.  By the way, any supposed feminist that doesn’t tell what surgery she has had and let’s women compare themselves to her is no feminist. There are also plenty of men that have had face-lifts and their bodies tweaked other than Gene Simmons. Celebrities and authors should include what they have had done on their websites so fans do not compare themselves to them or maybe as a warning for what not to do.  Ditto for athletes and actors using steriods!  

As usual, TMZ has the scoops and not that any of us will be losing sleep over this but if Lindsey Lohan doesn’t get  to the USA soon from Cannes she may find herself behind bars.  Go to TMZ for more on this and other breaking news in "Celebrity World" - not a planet most of us visit!

Linda Lovelace's experience in the porn industry was hellish and she said her husband exploited her and beat her to make her perform.  Jenna Jameson, retired media mogul,  had some tough times but nothing as horrific as Lovelace.  Jameson paved the way for other female porn stars like Belladonna and Terra Patrick to also direct, produce and even create their own studios.

Way back when in my twenties when I listened to Howard Stern, I remember a porn star lamenting when the porn industry was no longer run by Mafia. You see the Mafia guys paid them in cash.

Just to bring you back to NYC. Albany has still not closed the budget and a title of a documentary covering this debacle could be called “Deeply Screwed” how Albany and City Hall took NYC from a recession to a depression...This is an economic horror show here in New York although times are tough in other States and around the world. I write here in NYC so I had to mention the economic crisis here but another catastrophe that people have yet to understand the horror of completely  is the oil spill off of the Gulf of Mexico which continues to get worse. Sea life continue dying suffocating to death which is horrific and will have very disturbing long range results.  Now the news is the oil spill  maybe showing up on Florida’s beaches.

I guess focusing on Sarah Jessica Parker deemed the cheapest entertainer (and believe me she has competition) and Lindsey Lohan are a vacation from very serious issues that truly effect our lives.

YouTubeland Gaga Greyson & dish - Suzannah B. Troy

All is not well in YouTubeland although YouTube has just celebrated it’s 5 anniversary.  

First let us go to the best and beautiful happening in YouTubeland like my own story of filming Jazz Legend Giuseppi Logan in Tompkins Square Park 2 years and posting on YouTube which radically changed his life.  I immediately found a YouTube from a British filmmaker same park almost 50 years earlier with Giuseppi and a little boy with an original GL composition playing in the background.  Since my 21 part YouTube documentary Giuseppi has cut a new CD his first since his two successful ones released in 1960’s by ESP records and I help unite Giuseppi Logan with the little boy in the YouTube, Jaee Logan, also a musical genius like his Dad!  I suggested Jaee Logan make a documentary and he is.  I also told him “Hollywood movie” and a book along the lines of The Soloist with charities as well.  That is part of my dream...

Now on to the mega-bucks YouTube wonders that do happen in YouTubeland.  Lady Gaga has signed young YouTube sensation Greyson Chance to her label, Interscope Record and his manager is now Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager.

This is different than the Susan Boyle syndrome where a tv program and YouTube combined created a big income earning for Boyle and she doesn’t seem able to cope with fame.

I also bought a single of Boyle’s from ITunes and I ended up deleting it because it fell flat.

This young man is articulate and winning as highlighted in his Ellen interview.  Lady Gaga calls in and gives him advice.

This maybe the first a mega hit YouTube star  born in YouTubeland with no help from American Idol, Simon Cowell....a pure YouTube hit.

There is a dark side to YouTubeland and I have more to tell you on the dark, dark side but tune in later, may be much later!

St. Vincent's Closed -- Suzannah B. Troy & Louis Flores

I took these photos of St. Vincent’s Closed and they speak volumes...

There are so many loving notes thanking Doctors, Nurses and everyone who did their work at St. Vincent’s.

You can see people laid flowers down as if someone had died.  Very sad.

It reminds me of Sept. 11 and the days and months following when so many photos with people’s photographs and telephone number with pleas from desperation family member hoping someone who call them and say a loved was a live.  

St. Vincent’s kept a memorial going all these years.  I will never forget Union Square and St. Vincent’s filled with all those postings from 9-11.

Community leader and activist, Yetta Kurland, gave a presentation to the Lower Manhattan community on May 13, 2010. Ms. Kurland described the legal process that has been taking place in the community's efforts to intervene, to prevent the full closing of St. Vincent's Hospital.

Ms. Kurland reported that Attorneys for St. Vincent's had opposed the community's attempt in NYS Supreme Court to make the hospital abide by NYS Health Department rules. After being challenged by Attorneys for St. Vincent's Hospital, the venue for the community's lawsuit was changed to bankruptcy court, where the bankruptcy judge claimed jurisdiction over the lawsuit over NYS Health Department rules, but the same judge denied that patients have the ability to sue to enforce NYS Health Department rules. A classic Catch-22.

In particular, the bankruptcy judge denied a motion filed by Ms. Kurland and other community attorneys, on behalf of the patients and community, which was opposing the closure of St. Vincent's Hospital due to the hospital's violation of statutory requirement of a 90-day waiting period. NYC No. 2 Lay-Offs post by Suzannah B. Troy

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/americas-layoff-capitals/story?id=10639186 You would think king mayor Mike Bloomberg would have fought to keep St. Vincent's open so the West Village had a hospital and although St. Vincent's did not know how to run a business they never turned away a person which is rare these days and there were one of the closer hospitals that was a resource during Sept. 11 although sadly there were many survivors they did treat rescue workers like firefighters who would than run back downtown. You would think Mike Bloomberg would have fought to save this hospital for the above reason but also to save jobs and keep people employed. More and more it seems Bloomberg won or stole a third term to help his greedy community crushing developer friends and fiance buddies to obtain their greedy, ruthless goals at the expense of New Yorker in way to many ways to count including pushing a reckless tsunami of development as stupid and greedy as what caused Wall Street to implode. Mike's new hideous New York built with the aid of socialite mega-millionaire city planner Amanda the people's Burden on old NY's infrastructure is collapsing and besides the infrastructure break and related problems that resemble terror attacks from steam pipe explosions to man hole covers the subways are backed to the brim with dilapidated subways stations that literally cannot accommodate the population. The stair in the subway are so crowded that the flow of people can only go one way and people wanting to get down stairs have to wait until the sea of people exit. Trains that are not expresses suddenly become so leaving rows of crowded people fuming but who cares as long as Mike could push a reckless tsunami of development that continues to blot out the sun...so much for Mike's idea for solar panels when he aids developers like NYU and Cooper Union to bust through our zoning and using their not for profit status as a tax shelter, Columbia University to displace an entire neighborhood called Manhattanville abusing eminent domain and so many condo and hotel developers some with bad tract records that if they were drug dealers they would be behind bars but when it comes to developers, contractors and landlords a bad track record means nothing except business as usual. The New York Times said something about returning to a recession. We never left but are heading towards a depression and Mike Bloomberg doesn't appear to care. He just wanted to get in for a third

Grateful Dead The NY Historical Society - Suzannah B. Troy

The NY Historical Society is being renovated so only one small section is actually open and it is filled with Grateful Dead treasures! This collection of powerful photos and memorabilia are on loan from The Grateful Dead Archive on loan from the University of Santa Cruz.  

The first blown up image you see is of The Filmore East on the Lower East Side and there are powerful photos of the Filmore with mobs of people lined up to see the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. I remember reading Janis would go to Ratner's after and Ratner's moved yet again and than finally closed as so much has these days.

There is of course poster art and all kinds of collectibles and Grateful Dead music plays through out this small exhibition. I do want to warn you the price to get in is 12 dollars I think. You may want to double check me on that and the gift shop is filled to the brim with Grateful Dead items. I bought an amazing pair of GD earrings!

AIDS Walk 2010 -- Suzannah B. Troy

Huge turn out for the AIDS walk -- HUGE!!!! Which was good to see and I met these very nice women from Bedford Central Presbyterian Church who did their share by participating in the AIDS walk. You can see they are beautiful and their good deeds and spirit shines as much as their smiles. Great work and they are emblematic of what makes New Yorkers great...taking the time to make a difference!

I can't tell you for sure how many people turned out but it was massive. I read some where an estimated 45,000 people might show up and it sure looked and sounded like it. Truly inspiring and a great fund raiser sponsored by the Gay Mens' Health Crisis.

Pink Cosmo Interview + Sex Tips - Suzannah B. Troy

Pink fans will eat up June 2010’s Cosmopolitan with Pink on the cover and in depth interview by Alison Prato.  What did I get from this article?  Pink is happy and back with her husband Carey.  She did date an amazing guy that she was really simpatico with while separated from her husband who happened to be a musician as well as romantic but not Carey!

I am a big Janis Joplin and no offense Pink but Janis Joplin is in a category all her own but Tina Turner gave her a poster with Tina and Joplin and wrote, “To Alecia the second coming.”  

Side note for Janis Joplin fans...Kims’ Video store on St. Marks Place in the East Village, NYC is now closed but for one dollar you could rent a video of Janis Joplin flying back to Texas to attend her high school reunion.   She is dressed in fully Janis regalia with the big boa and sun glasses and in the most charming of ways she rubs her success in her old high school buddies noses.  Hint: They were not very nice to her.

Buy the Cosmo to get all the Pink details and enjoy the photos by Matt Jones.  I do have two Pink songs on my IPhone, “Glitter in the Air” and “So What”.  I relate to Pink’s all or nothing attitude but not her smoking cigarette attitude which she needs to get a grip on.  (Read the article in Cosmo.)  

Her performance at the Grammy’s of Glitter in the Air was outstanding and she starts out very slow...(reminds of my short story “Chopping the Street: one mega-million at a time” -- maybe I should get Pink to star in the short story if it ever makes it to the big screen.)  Pink walks out into the very jaded audience and start’s singing and ends up in an almost naked outfit suspended high above the air dancing in a Cirque de Soliel like performance.  This is old news but so outstanding I will include the video link.
