Pican Oakland Restaurant To Close After 8 Year Run In Uptown Michael LeBlanc's innovative Pican Restaurant at Uptown Oakland is set to close, according to a source via text moments ago. The eatery at 2295 Broadway was the last mainstay restaurant after Ozumo closed last year. Pican opened to much fanfare in 2009, as Michael sought to mesh Asian and Soul Food in a result that was more often than not excellent. But, according to this news, it's going to close and that's bad for that part of Uptown.
