Raiders Will Stay In Oakland For New Stadium Says Zennie Abraham On Good Morning San Diego KUSI TV - Video

Raiders Will Stay In Oakland For New Stadium Says Zennie Abraham On Good Morning San Diego KUSI TV On KUSI TV and KUSI.com "Good Morning San Diego", Zennie Abraham (Executive Producer of Zennie62Media and CEO of Sports Business Simulations, as well as former Economic Adviser to Oakland Mayor Elihu Harris and President of the Oakland Super Bowl XXXVI Bidding Committee under then Oakland Mayor and now California Governor Jerry Brown) said that the Oakland Raiders were staying in Oakland and building a stadium there, and for the following reasons: 1) The Raiders are financially strapped, and because of this, have sought to sell part of the team to gain more cash. When Floyd Kephart and New City Development LLC proposed to buy a portion of the team, that came from the Raiders and the NFL - which wanted Mark Davis to sell the team outright, but he refused, so that was the compromise. Switching "persons" to first-person, I will explain that I was informed by friends involved in the New City Development deal that Floyd said the Raiders would not use that money for stadium construction. That means they need the cash. 2) The Raiders can't afford the relocation fee because they're cash strapped. Taking it out of a stadium revenue stream would be too costly and make that LA project not pencil out. 3) The Raiders are worth more in Oakland, building a privately financed stadium they own. In Carson, the Raiders would share that stadium with the San Diego Chargers - that immediately reduces potential franchise value. In Oakland, the Raiders could achieve a level of $3 billion in value.
