X-Men Apocalypse Review At Cinemark 17 Fayetteville, GA - Video
X-Men Apocalypse Review At Cinemark 17 Fayetteville, GA I just saw X-Men Apocalypse at the Cinemark 17 Theater here in Fayetteville, Georgia. Honestly, while it was slow and plodding, I found that I really enjoyed it. The film was marked by a number of great performances, from Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender, to Oscar Issac and James McElvoy. Plus, the special effects were epically cool. The storyline fits within the X-Men canon, which is another way of saying if you have not seen an X-Men movie before, you may not dig this one much. But for X-Men fans, check it out.

Mark Davis Wants Oakland Raiders In Las Vegas: Would Be NFL's 2nd Lowest Wage City - Video
Mark Davis Wants Oakland Raiders In Las Vegas: Would Be NFL's 2nd Lowest Wage City In order to determine the ability of Las Vegas residents to afford an NFL team like the Oakland Raiders, I made a table of average hourly wage for each NFL City Metropolitan Area. I learned that Las Vegas would be only over Green Bay, Wisconsin in average hourly wage at $20.10 versus the NFL average of $24.23 and the Oakland wage of $29.03. Art Briles Fired By Baylor Over Players Sexual Assault Cover Up
Art Briles Fired By Baylor Over Players Sexual Assault Cover Up - Video
Art Briles, who I interviewed here at the NFL Red Carpet for the NFL Draft, was fired today after Baylor, the college he coached at, completed its investigation of claims of cover up of sexual assault problems by his players. Baylor President Ken Starr was demoted and a number of staff members were terminated according to reports. The Baylor investigation found that the university had been slow in looking into sexual assault claims and was in violation of Title IX. Stay tuned.

Las Vegas Oakland Raiders Stadium Will Give No Tax Revenue To City, County In Proposal
Las Vegas Oakland Raiders Stadium Will Give No Tax Revenue To City, County In Proposal - Video
The Las Vegas Sands and Majestic Realty Oakland / Las Vegas Raiders Stadium Economic and Fiscal Impact document that is part of the information for the May 26th Southern Nevada Tourism and Infrastructure Commission was written to fool public officials. It promises tax revenue by the millions but then one small report section near the end of it calls for a tax increment revenue district. That area will collect all tax revenue and give it to the proposed stadium authority that is ran by the developer - in this proposal. So the City of Las Vegas and Clark County will not get tax revenue from the project if they go along with the tax increment revenue financing proposal. Oh and that is on top of the other $750 million the Las Vegas Sands and Majestic people want from an increase in the hotel tax. Greedy.

Oakland Officials To Present Stadium Land Proposal To Oakland Raiders In Weeks - Video
According to conversations and texts I have had with City Of Oakland and County Of Alameda Officials, after The NFL Spring Meeting in Charlotte, Mayor of Oakland, City, Alameda County, Coliseum Officials have got into a high gear of stadium-related meetings. Already the Mayor and the Councilmember Larry Reid have talked as well as called Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty. The result will be a planned giant meeting to be held next week and with the objective of coming to one voice on a land deal proposal to the Oakland Raiders. I am told the desire is to set a meeting with The Raiders within the next two or three weeks. What the officials have done is determined to meet and solve head on the problems that have stood in the way of getting a stadium deal done with the Raiders. The biggest news here is that Oakland and Alameda County have made a concerted effort to meet and speak to The Raiders with one voice. Once that meeting is held next week the East Bay Entities will try and set a time to meet with the Oakland Raiders and make a presentation to them and get their feedback. Stay tuned.

Rev Jesse Jackson At O'Hare Airport "Keep Hope Alive" - Video
I just ran into Rev Jesse Jackson about 15 minutes ago here at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. I have interviewed him twice, at the DNC Convention in 2008 and 2012 and then at Oakland Tech last year. I didn't bug him for an interview but he did say "keep hope alive!"
